I prefer to have a good old book right there in my hands to read...to snuggle up with...to reflect on. I think the audio books could be good for time in the car AND I don't spend much time in traffic or on long trips. I used the Guttenberg Project for most of my downloads. The Music is scratchy and OLD. Sounds like I'm playing one of my mom's old 78's with numerous scratches. Also in terms of downloads sometimes there are 30 or so choices and you can't tell until you actually listen to them how they differ or who is the one reading.
